In and Out of the South Since 1971
Our team is Celebrating the Journey during our 40th birthday this year. For our customers, that means we’ve been providing them with solutions “In and Out of the South” since 1971. Today, we move customer freight from coast to coast, from Mexico to Canada, and even from Asia or Europe. We’ve been able to build up our services thanks to our strong density in the South, which has allowed us to become more flexible and diverse than many of our competitors. If you look back at the early days of our team, it might be hard to imagine that we’d now have nearly 140 total facilities, including service centers, supply chain sites and truckload domiciles throughout our network. And to think that it all started with a simple run in Tennessee from Livingston to Nashville… In the early days, our “footprint” consisted of Nashville and Middle Tennessee. Shortly after that, in the early 1980s we gained full-state coverage of Tennessee. In fact, we became the first carrier to serve all points in The Volunteer State! By 1984, we had service centers set up all across Tennessee, with Nashville, Knoxville, Cookeville, Chattanooga, Memphis, Tri-Cities, Jackson and Fayetteville still operating today. Of course, now we have service centers in 18 states and Puerto Rico, as well as supply chain sites and truckload domiciles in another six states. During our 40-year journey, we have grown steadily, building our density in the South. While that’s where our core strength is, we’ve established ourselves across the country as solutions-provider for our customers. And that’s what we’ll continue to do for at least the next 40 years.
