A-RATE Rating System Help - FAK Class Tiers

Select this item from the Options pull-down menu to store default FAK Class values for any of the NMFC Commodity Classes. That is, if you have an agreement that all items that normally belong in a certain NMFC Class will ship under a different NMFC Class, you can assign those Classes with this feature. The system allows you to set FAK Class Tiers for the Direct Service Area and the USA Service Area. FAK Class Tiers are not applicable to shipments between the United States and Canada. That is, you must rate your U.S./Canadian shipments using the actual NMFC Classes.
