A-RATE Rating System Help - Rating Shipments

To rate a shipment in A-RATE, type in four pieces of information: Origin Zip, Destination Zip (both 5-digit), Class, and Weight. The system gives you a "running total" for your shipment weight and charges after you enter each shipment weight. You can include up to eight class/weight combinations in your shipment, and the system updates the dollar amounts in the Gross Charge, Discount Amount, and Net Charge fields to reflect the updated shipment information.

When you enter your Origin and Destination zips, a code for the Averitt Service Center appears underneath the zip code, along with a Direct or USA service area indicator. You can select Service Center Detail from the View pull-down menu to see basic address and phone information about the Averitt Express Service Center that handles those points.
