COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (May 31, 2005) – Philips Electronics North America recently presented its 2004 “Carrier Recognition Award for North American Road Transport" to Averitt Express, one of the nation's leading freight transportation and supply chain management providers.
Philips presents the annual award to one carrier based on feedback from its vendors on carrier performance. Philips' vendors evaluate carriers based on criteria such as fewest freight claims, on-time service and customer service. The award is presented to the carrier that shows the greatest improvement over their previous year’s score, as well as the highest overall score according to the evaluation.
Philips has been presenting the award annually for more than ten years. This is the first year Philips has presented the award to Averitt.
