R.J. Reynolds Presents Averitt Express with "Truckload Carrier of the Year" Award

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (August 28, 2006) -- Averitt Express, one of the nation's leading freight transportation and supply chain management providers, has been honored by R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company with its "2005 Truckload Carrier of the Year" award.

The award, honoring Averitt for its exceptional service, was issued as part of R.J. Reynolds' Quality Partnership Program. The program evaluates the company's freight transportation carriers based on criteria such as on-time service, claims prevention, claims resolution and on-time activity reporting. Carriers receiving 98 points out of a possible 100 are eligible to receive the award.
