COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - (June 4, 2007) - Averitt Express has expanded its presence in the West Palm Beach area with a new service center located there.
According to Averitt officials, the expansion will lead to improved delivery times for local freight shippers.
"We've been providing transportation service in West Palm Beach since 1993, but we haven't previously operated a service center there," said Phil Pierce, Averitt's executive vice president of sales and marketing. "This new facility is an investment to expand our role in the West Palm Beach market."
Pierce says Averitt's transit times are already among the best in the industry for service between West Palm Beach and points such as Louisville, Memphis, Nashville, Dallas, Atlanta and Orlando.
The 7,000-square-foot service center has 26 bay doors dedicated to Averitt's operations.
Averitt's West Palm Beach service center currently employs 24 associates.
