Averitt improves service to eastern Canada COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (Dec. 11, 2012) – Averitt has announced it has rolled out improved less-than-truckload service times to eastern Canada. With the improvements, LTL shipments moving from selected points within Averitt’s distribution network will now receive faster transit to eastern Canada, including the cities of Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa and Quebec City. The improvements were made possible by operational adjustments within Averitt’s network, as well as the network of Kingsway Transport, a fellow member of The Reliance Network. “Canada is the United States’ largest trading partner, so Canada is a critical market for our customers,” said Phil Pierce, Averitt’s executive vice president of sales and marketing. “We’re proud of our service to and from Canada, which is made possible by our outstanding relationships with fellow members of The Reliance Network, Kingsway Transport and Canadian Freightways.
